China Launches 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit for International Travelers
China has introduced a 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit policy, making it easier than ever for international travelers to explore the country. This program allows eligible visitors with confirmed flight bookings from China to a third country or region—including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan—to obtain a visa upon arrival at a Chinese airport or port and stay for up to 10 days.
Citizens from 55 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, can take advantage of this policy. Entry is permitted through 60 open airports and ports across 24 provincial regions, covering top destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu, and Guangzhou.
